Masan Consumer Corporation and Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology sign a Cooperation Agreement

On the afternoon of August 15, 2025, Masan Consumer Corporation (Masan Consumer) and Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, VNU-HCM, signed a cooperation agreement aimed at leveraging each party’s strengths in research, training, and technology transfer, while also sharing expertise and supporting human resource development.

The signing ceremony was attended by Ms. Le Thi Nga, Deputy General Director of Masan Consumer, along with other corporate leaders. Representing Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT) were Prof. Dr. Mai Thanh Phong, President, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Tran Vu, Vice President, and deans of faculties, departments, and centers.

Masan Consumer is one of Vietnam’s largest Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) companies in the food and beverage sector. The company continuously expands its product portfolio, reinforcing its leading position in the domestic branded food and beverage market with well-known brands such as Chinsu, Nam Ngu, Omachi, Kokomi, and Vinacafe. With a strategic focus on developing products and brands for both domestic and international markets through its “Go Global” strategy, Masan Consumer expressed its commitment to cooperate with HCMUT across key areas to leverage each party’s strengths for sustainable development.

In research and development within the food, household, and personal care sectors, both parties will cooperate on advanced technological solutions, new product development, market research, and international partnerships, leveraging research resources and expertise from domestic and international specialists.

Regarding training to enhance competence for Masan Consumer’s workforce, the two parties agreed to collaborate on training programs related to technology and equipment, quality management, new product development, production and distribution management, and sharing practical expertise tailored to actual business needs.

In addition, Masan Consumer will sponsor scientific research and innovation activities at HCMUT, and coordinate vocational guidance, internships, recruitment, and scholarships for students, as well as co-teach and co-mentor students in the food, household, and personal care sectors.

This partnership not only promotes research and education but also creates opportunities for stronger engagement among the university, industry, and society. Both parties expect to deliver practical values to the community while affirming their long-term commitment to human resource development and innovation.
