Managerial decision-making in a competitive environment is essential for any organization. The aim of this course is to provide students with an understanding of the role of information technology in managerial decision-making.

This course provides students with a broad overview of the business analytics landscape, including the techniques and tools that are successfully utilized by modern organizations. Students learn about the evolution of decision support systems (DSS), business intelligence (BI), and business analytics (BA) from standardized reporting to a flexible, integrated information system that meets the information requirements of modern decision-makers. This course also provides students with practical skills in decision support tools such as Tableau/Google Data Studio, RapidMiner/Python, and Analytic Solver/IBM CPLEX.
