The course aims at helping students be aware of the importance of Industrial safety and Risk management, including with management responsibilities.

This course includes knowledge of industrial safety, process safety management, how to establish an industrial safety and risk management program, hazard identification, process, techniques and approaches to risk assessment and management, and change management as well. Specific topics in Industrial safety and Risk management relating to fresh engineers/ bachelors are also mentioned and analyzed through the course.

  • Interpret the issues of industrial safety and risk management
  • Develop a program of industrial safety and process improvement
  • Develop a program of risk assessment and risk management

After the course, students are armed with basic competences in developing a complete industrial safety management process – such as establishment of an industrial safety and risk management program at work, incident investigation, hazard identification, risk assessment and management, change management in industries.
