The course “Organizational Behavior (OB)” belongs to the field of applied behavioral science, researching into the manners that organizational members make decisions, behave and act in their organization, at three levels: individual, group, and organization. It focuses on the interaction among these types of behaviors and their effect on the common objectives of organization. It helps managers to build a transparent and ethical working environment for all organizational members. This effort will facilitate employee performance and help them to be clear of the “do” and “don’t” embedded in each organization.
This course provides students with essential theories in OB science. In addition, certain managerial knowledge and skills in this field will be offered such as leadership, motivation, team working, conflict resolution, organizational culture, managing stress and change, etc. These competencies are essential in the current pace of integration and development in Vietnam.
