Students will be able to master the process of resolving a statistical problem, including both descriptive statistics and inference statistics. Almost contents of this course will be illustrated by using the Excel software, a effective tool, that assists learners enhance the computer using skills applied in statistics.

Helping students to understanding the basis of statistical methods through the contents and excercises including accounting, economics, finance, marketing fields, … as follows:

  • What is statistics?
  • Probability
  • Discrete random variables and probability distributions
  • Continuos random variables and probability distributions
  • Sampling and sampling distributions
  • Estimation
  • Hypothesis testing
  • Linear correlation and regression
  • Time series analysis and forecasting

The objective is to provide knowledge of fundamental statistics that enable students to do more deeply study in the future.
