HCMC University of Technology (HCMUT) and Kühne Logistics University (KLU) signed MOU to enhance Logistics and Supply Chain Management Training

On May 28, 2024, the delegation from Kühne Logistics University (KLU), Germany, led by Rector Prof. Andreas Kaplan, visited and signed a cooperation agreement with HCMC University of Technology.
Representing the HCMUT at the reception were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mai Thanh Phong, Rector, and leaders of the School of Industrial Management, the Office of Postgraduate Studies, the Office of International Study Programs, and the Office of External Relations.

KLU is top-ranked among business schools in Germany, Austria & Switzerland: 4.5 to 5 stars in all categories (CHE University Ranking 2023/24), 9th in research-output in Germany (Wirtschaftswoche Ranking 2022)

Founded in 2010, KLU is a young and dynamic private university with strengths in logistics and supply chain management, business administration, business analytics, and data science. In the discussion, KLU Rector Prof. Andreas Kaplan shared that it is time for KLU to further strengthen its international connections to reach more international students and partners, and especially believes that HCMUT, as a representative from Vietnam, will be a reliable partner to work with KLU to develop training and research.

In response to KLU’s goodwill, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mai Thanh Phong affirmed that with the HCMUT’s strategy of internationalizing higher education, especially in the context of the shift from “outside” to “inside” the university, the university is always ready to seize potential cooperation opportunities from foreign partners in general and KLU in particular.

In this cooperation, KLU and the HCMUT will build joint degree programs in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, exchange lecturers and students, and cooperate in research.

After signing the MOU, representatives of the two sides continued to discuss the development of the Master’s Program in Global Supply Chain and Logistics Management, including the training model, training program, learner support policies, etc.
