On the morning of March 20th, 2024, HCMUT signed a cooperation agreement with Aisin Group, Japan, to conduct and promote technological research related to artificial intelligence (AI).
The signing ceremony was honored to welcome Mr. Naotake Natori (Project General Director), Mr. Duy Truong (Project Manager of Aisin Group), and representatives of HCMUT, Assoc. Prof. Pham Tran Vu – Vice President, leaders of units attended the ceremony.
Aisin is a Japanese corporation specializing in developing and manufacturing components and systems for the automotive industry. The Group has a strategy to expand AI technological integration according to the current development trend in the automotive industry.
Since 2021, after establishing the cooperative relationships between Aisin and HCMUT, the two sides have implemented joint research on applied technology in information technology.
Based on the successes of previous collaborative projects, Aisin and HCMUT continue to take advantage of each side to build AI-related technologies. Aisin Group will support specialized equipment, researchers, and project implementation costs. At the same time, researchers and lecturers from the Department of Computer Science & Engineering will coordinate to implement and ensure project progress as agreed.
