Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT) – member of Vietnam National University-HCMC signed a collaboration agreement with LG Display Vietnam Haiphong Co. Ltd. on the latter’s visit to the university on December 27, 2022.

Accordingly, HCMUT and LG Display Vietnam Haiphong Co. Ltd. are going to cooperate in the fields of training, graduate hiring, technology research and development, scholarship provision for students committing to working in the company (VND35 million or US$1,480 per student).
In his speech in the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Danh Thao, Vice President of HCMUT, expressed his hope that this collaboration is able to offer students in the university more consideration for their career development in the future as well as job opportunities for newly graduates.
Established in 2016, LG Display Vietnam Haiphong Co. Ltd. is a subsidiary of LG Display Corporation, specializing in producing thin-film transistor liquid crystal display (TFT-LCD) and organic light-emitting diode (OLED) panels for flexible displays and devices. It has continuously expanded its manufacturing scale along with upgrading its product quality. They have sought young talents non-stop to contribute to creating the best possible products.

The agreement signing ceremony
In the event, representatives of LG Display Vietnam Haiphong Co. Ltd. introduced possible job openings, delivered instructions on interview skills and job application profile preparation. This was expected to help HCMUT’s students clearly understand the working environment in the company.

Prof. Dr. Nguyen Danh Thao, Deputy Head of the PR Department Dr. Nguyen Le Dung, Deputy Dean of the Computer Science and Engineering Faculty Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Ngoc Thinh, Deputy Dean of the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Faculty Dr. Huynh Phu Minh Cuong, Deputy Dean of the Mechanical Engineering Faculty Dr. Tran Anh Son, and Director of the Student Services and Career Center Tran Viet Toan.
