Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT) and the Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine have cooperated in people’s health care.

A comprehensive agreement signing ceremony between the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and the Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine took place on December 02nd afternoon at HCMUT. The cooperation aims at improving the efficiency of people’s health care. 

Address the ceremony, HCMUT President Mai Thanh Phong noted that with a long history and prestige in science and technology, HCMUT expected that the agreement concluded would contribute to the more applications of R&D findings in healthcare services and the efficiency improvement in people’s health care. 

The President of the Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine shared the same view. He hoped that both parties’ efforts would apply R&D findings in training community health care human resources and optimal data storage that reduces overloading, at the same time and expand people’s health care services.

The agreement signed by leaderships of both parties

As the agreement said, both parties would cooperate facility development, R&D, training, and application of state-of-the-art technologies in both university activities for human resource quality improvement and people’s medical care.

In addition, as part of the agreement, both universities agreed to implement the Master’s degree program in Hospital administration in collaboration with the School of Medicine, VNU-HCM. It is projected that the first admission will launch in 2022. The program is designed to provide a wealth of knowledge about administration for students working at hospitals and other medical service providers. It was the first mutual program launched for further cooperation in some fields, such as biomedical engineering, computer science, application of technology in imaging diagnosis, telemedicine, consulting on the construction of medical systems.

Both parties determined to implement the concluded agreement effectively, taking advantage of both parties’ potentials and strong points in scientific research, training, management, and people’s health care.
